The Idaho State Department of Education has adopted Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching as a minimum standard for teacher evaluations.
This has implications for how we go about integrating and evaluating technology in our classrooms.
Doug Johnson's article Power Up!/Technology Skills Every Teacher Needs provides a rubric for teacher technology use that can be used to assess teacher technology use in the classroom in accordance with the four domains of the Danielson Framework. Better yet, check out this document of what to look for in applying teacher use of technology to the Danielson Framework.
As the Doceo Center provides professional development workshops to schools and districts, we plan to work with you in your efforts to incorporate the Danielson Framework into teaching and learning with technology.
