Darliss Bardwell

7th-12th Grade Special Education Teacher/Transition Coordinator
Genesee School District

Darliss teaches 7th-12th grades at Genesee School.  She has a passion to help learners be successful while in school and after they graduate. Darliss is a wife, grandma, and tech lover. She has a B.S. from Lewis-Clark State College in Elementary Education with minors in Special Education and Reading and an M.S. in Secondary Transition Education from the University of Kansas.

Darliss is a lifelong learner and has also been a technology “geek” for many years. She recently became a Google Certified Educator Level 1 in order to better help others to get the most out of their Google Apps. She believes that all students can be more successful when they get “hooked” with engaging material, are given alternate ways to learn, and can show their knowledge in more than one way.

In addition to teaching, Darliss travels and camps with her husband, spends time with her seven grandkids, takes water aerobics classes, and rides her recumbent trike.
