Speakit! is a Chrome Extension App that can be found in the Chrome App Store that allows users to have text on a web page read to them. By selecting the feature under Chrome settings, users can also use Speakit! to create text from speech. For all grade levels.

GoFormative

GoFormative is a free web-based resource that is a variation of a Learning Management System (LMS) focused primarily on formative assessments, informal or formal. Teachers may load their assignments and give students codes to get in (no email address required) where they can complete the assignment. Teachers can see student work in real-time and respond and grade it from in Formative.

Flippity

Flippity is a conversion tool that allows users to take Google Sheets and turn them into flashcards, a random name picker, a Jeopardy-like trivia quiz review, a progess tracker, and more. This tool would be great for students to collaborate on in pairs or teams and provides cool features like the ability to embed videos or insert images in the flashcards/quizzes.  For all grade levels. 

Merlot II

Merlot II is a site with a collection of free online simulations, interactives, games, and lessons, many of which are innovative approaches to teaching abstract and complex concepts. Locating these free services, however, is a journey.

QuizBean

Quizbean is a great assessment resource for educators with features like the ability to take a quiz without using an email address, add unlimited questions, students get "instant score" during a quiz, add explanations to questions, allow students to view reports of what they got right/wrong, and more. An account is free for 3 quizzes and 26 students per year and, for educators, more for nominal fees. For all grade levels.

SpicyNodes

Begin with an outline of information with images, website links, etc. and allow SpicyNodes to create an interactive map of that information. For all grade levels.
