A real-time collaborative writing environment that allows for the creation of public pads that can be password protected to ensure privacy.  You can also opt to create a private space where you can create accounts for an unlimited number of users.  There are up to eight colors to choose from to differentiate your work from others.  It is suggested that no more than a dozen users collaborate on a document at the same time to maintain optimum performance although the system can handle 64 collaborators in one document.  For grades 6 to 8.

Send text, documents, surveys, photos, or video to parents and students via email, text, or a mobile app with this free, two-way messaging system.  Teachers create classes and parents or students can join the class or be added by the teacher.  Teacher phone number and email are kept private.  Parent and student phone numbers and emails can only be seen by the teacher. For all grade levels.

Thinkbinder is an online study group tool. Registering is as easy as providing an email and password and creating a group is as easy as giving it a name. Once a group is created, it can be shared with multiple collaborators. Those collaborators then have the ability to add text, links, and files, all of which get added to the “feed,” which is sorted chronologically. There is also a calendar and a whiteboard tool. Additionally, there is a chat box that allows for group members to send instant messages to the group. This is a good tool for contribution from both educators and students.
